The DANISH REFUGEE COUNCIL (DRC) Mission in Serbia has opened the recruitment process for the national posts of "Expert for developing campaign" within the framework of the project "Open Communities - Successful Communities".

Position Title: Expert for developing campaign.


  • Develop the health awareness raising campaign plan, strategy and tactics related to vision, goals and objectives of the agreed project;

  • Develop plan for the implementation at least 34 events related to the health awareness raising campaign that will cover 16 municipalities hosting refugees/migrants and 18 refugee/migrant centers in the period of 10 months;

  • Work with key stakeholders to prepare campaign activity including developing a plan for the building events/round table discussions that will include the recommendations from Focus Group Discussion Report;

  • Design the plan for conducting a health awareness raising capacity building workshops/round table discussions to implement planned support mechanisms for all relevant staff/stakeholders dealing with project agreed topics in order to increase the campaigning effectiveness in close cooperation with DRC and WHO;

  • Design a detailed plan for the social media campaign with the aim of health promotion in 4 languages (Serbian, English, Farsi and Arabic). The plan for a social media campaign shall include the definition of channels to be used (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, What’s Up or Viber groups), including timelines for communication and content of messages to be posted;

  • Participate in the designing plan for a two-day Training of Trainers (ToT) of public health experts and cultural mediators who will act as trainers and facilitate capacity building and roundtable discussions;

  • Consultation with the public health experts recommended by the WHO during the development of the health awareness raising campaign;

  • Design and develop text for the print material for posters, leaflets and brochures;

  • Provide professional and strategic advice to all relevant stakeholders on development and use of appropriate campaign strategies, techniques and materials, including timely actions to support agreed objectives;

  • Develop upon demand Supervisor other detailed campaign plans to address specific needs of other relevant stakeholders.

Qualification and skills:

  • Bachelor degree;
  • Experience in the development and implementation of communication strategies and promotional campaigns;
  • Organization of public information campaign and visibility events;
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English and Serbian;
  • Excellent communication and marketing skills;
  • Advanced computer skills.

Professional experience

  • Preferably 2 years of experience in communications and promotional campaigns;
  • Previous experience in humanitarian context will be considered as an asset.
