The DANISH REFUGEE COUNCIL (DRC) Mission in Serbia has opened the recruitment process for the national posts of "PROJECT OFFICER" within the framework of the project: “Increasing the availability of dignity items for refugee and migrant women and girls in Serbia and facilitation of an assessment though focus group discussions”
Position Title: Project Officer (full time position)
Duration: 2 months.
Duty Station: Belgrade with frequent travels within Serbia .
Providing adequate and regular distribution of dignity items for refugee/asylum seeker/migrant women and girls accommodated in nine (5) Asylum seekers Centers: Banja Koviljaca, Bogovadja, Krnjaca, Sjenica, Tutin and (10) Reception Transit Centers: Adasevci, Bosilegrad, Bujanovac, Kikinda, Pirot, Principovac, Sombor, Subotica, Vranje, Sid in accordance with the distribution plan;
Logistically facilitating various transport/operational/programme activities;
Guides and supports routine implementation of assigned activates and progress in terms of achieving expected project outcomes, to ensure timely and efficient delivery in line with UNFPA policies and procedures, the approved project budget and agreed deadlines;
Prepares all obligating documents, entering relevant information available and preparing payment requests upon verification of deliverables;
Ensure safe keeping and handling of various NFIs on stock;
Ensure that the proper inventory is maintained and checked regularly;
Prepares and submits to the Programmme Manager on a weekly basis the reporting documents related to the carried distributions, including reports and monitoring data;
Keeps himself/herself informed about project activities and the context in which the project operates;
Perform other related duties as required or instructed by Programme Manager, including providing support to other areas of work, as assigned.
Qualification and skills:
University degree in social sciences or related field or equivalent work experience in NGO sector;
Excellent spoken and written English;
Excellent computer skills and familiarity with the ERP system would be an asset;
Full respect for beneficiaries’/organization confidentiality;
Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, precision and accuracy;
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and respect for people with special needs and other vulnerability;
Relevant professional experience of not less than 2 (two) years, with emphasis on good knowledge of project management in humanitarian settings;
Prior experience in humanitarian/development assistance or related work for a donor organization, governmental institutions and/or NGOs, is a very strong advantage;
Familiarity/prior experience with DRC’s persons of concern (including internally displaced persons, refugees, asylum seekers, migrants, returnees) would be a distinct advantage;
An understanding of humanitarian issues in Serbia and the region.
