The DANISH REFUGEE COUNCIL (DRC) Mission in Serbia has opened the recruitment process for various national posts within the framework of the programme contributing to enhance the humanitarian response to the refugee/migration crisis in Serbia.

PositionTitle: Field Liaison Coordinator

Duration: 3 months (with possibility of extension)

Duty Station: Presevo/Miratovac


  • Support the Program Manager/Project Coordinator in implementing and monitoring the shelter/WASH, child protection, logistics and information dissemination acitivites, within the One Stop Centre Presevo and RAP Miratovac as to facilitate full realization of project proposed activities;
  • Supervise the staff engaged in the realization of various sector acitivites mining the tasks and daily performance/attendance;
  • Provide support for Child Friendly Space and Mother and Baby Corner Child Protection Officers and CFS/MBC Facilitators on managing a CFS/MBC, child rights, child participation, child protection (including the Child Protection Policy) and provide ongoing mentoring to pracitce these concepts;
  • Support regular participatory acitivites with groups of children to identify needs affecting children, and assist the teams to order new supplies as necessary as well as to oversee all distribution acitivites;
  • Liaise closely with the stakeholders at his/her are of responsibility, including the donor, various NGOs, civil society, community leaders, etc;
  • Coordinate with the Project Coordinator when a donor field visit is required to ensure all related donor's visibility is upon requirement;
  • Represent the DRC at coordination meetings, providing briefings on Donor and DRC acitivites/services, explain agendas and ideas;
  • Develop, update and maintain reporting mechanism per sectors;

Qualification and skills

  • Bachelor degree in Law or Political/Social Science or similar subject;
  • Written and spoken proficiency in English and Serbian;
  • Flexibility and commitment to work long hours in the filed;
  • Team builder/experinece travel across Serbia;
  • Excellent monitoring and reporting skills;
  • Deep knowledge on refugee/migration issues;
  • Solution-oriented attitude;
  • Culture and gender sensitivity;
  • Advanced Computer skills;
  • Valid driving licence;

Professional experience

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience with an international organization or NGO on refugee/migration issues;
  • Priror experience working with children preffered (child protection, social work);
  • Knoweldge of the institutions of Serbia working on social and refugees reports;
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to write quality project reports;
  • Previous experience in humanitarian crisis would be an asset;
