Position Title: Child Facilitator

Tasks:

  • Establish contacts with families in order to inform them about all existing planed activities in the Child Friendly space, as well as contribution and benefits that CFS could provide to children and mother;
  • Supervise and support children's play activities;

Position Title: Protection Officer

Duration: 4 months

Duty Stations: Belgrade and Sid

Tasks:

        - Monitoring and reporting on the refugees’ situation at border crossings and at various locations throughout Serbia

        - Conducting extensive outreach activities, including provision of information

         - Reporting on incidents and issue of concern

         - Liaising with Government national and local institutions, UNHCR, and all relevant international and national stakeholders

Qualification and skills:

  • Bachelors degree (University Degree in Law or Political/Social Science or similar subject)

  • To provide winterization items to mothers and babies;
  • Establish contacts with families on the field/park in order to inform them about all existing planed activities in the Mother and baby corner, as well as contribution and benefits that Mother and baby corner could provide to children and mother;
  • Supervise nurses in their daily activities;
  • Conduct a daily visual assessment of the needs of the babies for winterization items;
  • Ensure that mother and babies feel welcome and safe;

  • High School, Early Age Education of Medical High School would be an asset;
  • Written and spoken proficiency in Serbian;

  • Establish contacts with mothers of children at the Child Friendly Space/Mother and baby corner in order to support them;
  • Gathers, selects and analyses information on child protection contained in communications with mothers and children (information about their travelling experience as refugees and their needs during the trip and now);
  • Be the first point of contact for parents and children on any issues concerning the well-being of children in the field;
  • Identify any needs of Child Protection for children and mothers;
  • Referring children and their families to appropriate services and ensuring the referral is applied;
  • Manage basic/social counselling, awareness, guidance and emotional support if needed;
  • To be approachable with friendly manner for mothers and children, to be good listener and to be able to communicate clearly and effectively;
  • Ensure that winterization are ordered and delivered in a timely manner;
  • Prepare regular reports on the activities implemented and future plans.

Tasks:

  • Plan, implement, monitor and evaluate the distribution process on a monthly basis, in coordination with other stakeholders involved in the distribution;
  • Ensure beneficiaries are respected and cared for during distribution activities;
  • Prioritize vulnerable cases during distribution and provide needed support;
  • Provide the distribution staff with appropriate tools and techniques for the distribution of non food items;
  • Archive all the documents relevant to the distribution process
  • Regular reporting and information sharing;
  • Perform any other duties assigned by Programme Manager;

Qualification and skills

  • Basic knowledge of English;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Good computer skills (Word, Excel);
  • Strong sense for humanitarian situation and cultural sensitivity;
  • Ability for emergency work and work under pressure;
